What to Expect

If you are a first time guest, we want to extend a special welcome. We are honored to have you with us this morning and pray that you will be blessed by our fellowship and the Word of God that is shared. If you do not have a church home, please become a part of our fellowship. Please fill out the guest card in the Red attendance register at the Aisle end of each pew so that we have a record of your visit. (LSB refers to the maroon Lutheran Service Book in the pew rack for music.)

This is a sacred meal for those who believe the creed that we confess during the service, are united to Jesus Christ through Holy Baptism, have repented of sin in their lives, conscientiously live Holy lives, and share with us the awareness that as we receive the bread and wine, we are receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus who said “Take eat..take drink… this IS my body .. my blood of the new covenant which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sin”. (Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 11:23-31, 10:16-17) This is not just symbolic, but a miracle of the Real Presence of the body and blood of Christ in the sacrament. If you share this faith with us, we welcome you, but if you have any doubts or do not understand what is taking place, we ask you to speak with the pastor before participating.

TIPS  FOR  DISTRIBUTION:  Please hold out your hand for the wafer.  We use both the individual cup and the common cup. The cups in the center of the tray contain grape juice instead of wine.  Please hold the individual cup until after the common cup has been offered to those who prefer it.  Please hold the common cup as your participate.
